Ariel Tilson

Ariel Tilson is a documentary filmmaker and producer for the local public television affiliate, Twin Cities PBS (TPT). She earned her graduate degree in documentary film and impact from The New School in New York City, and received her undergraduate degree in journalism and international studies at The University of Kansas.

Ariel has worked in a variety of documentary contexts including award-winning independent filmmakers, national film festivals, and POV—the longest-running national broadcast documentary showcase—before landing at TPT. Her personal documentary projects include Emmy-nominated feature-length documentaries and nationally distributed digital video content, with a focus on cross-cultural and socially conscious issues.
