Dr. Andrea Jones-Rooy is a social scientist specializing in complexity science. She is the author of a book and several research articles on complex systems. She also contributes articles to media outlets on international relations, foreign affairs, and uncertainty. Andrea is a research consultant for Fortune 500 firms, helping them apply social scientific methods and principles into discovering, researching, and developing policies for institutional and cultural change on diversity. Andrea is a Data Science Fellow at the New York University, and has previously served as Assistant Professor of Global China Studies and founding Director of Social Science at New York University Shanghai. She was a Postdoctoral Fellow of Social and Decision Science at Carnegie Mellon University. Dr. Jones-Rooy holds a Ph.D. in Political Science and Complex Systems from the University of Michigan, and a Bachelor’s degree in Chinese Language and Literature, International Relations and Economics from Connecticut College.
