Emma Corrie is the director of Strategic Workforce Initiatives in the State of Minnesota Office of Governor Mark Dayton and Lt. Gov. Tina Smith. Emma is responsible for developing a statewide career pathways program that will provide better access to state government careers, with attention to traditionally underserved populations. She is concentrating on building partnerships with job training providers, community-based organizations, academic institutions, unions, state agencies, private industry, potential funders, and philanthropic partners with a focus on creating sustainable career-oriented jobs in state government and the private sector.

Emma has more than 20 years of experience in human resources and workforce development. She has worked in state government since 1997 and built her career at the Department of Natural Resources and the Department of Transportation. She has a master’s degree in business and is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) since 2009.
