Michelle Thom has served as the Associate Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at the University of St. Thomas since May 2014. Prior to that, she held the position of Chief Human Resources Officer at Normandale Community College for five years. She has more than 17 years of experience in the field of human resources. In her current position, she oversees all of the University’s human resources functions, serving nearly 2,000 employees. Michelle holds a Master of Arts degree in Public Administration and Management from Hamline University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Minnesota. She also studied world politics at the University of Essex in Colchester, England. Michelle is currently a doctoral student in organization development and change at the University of St. Thomas.
