Does getting things done depend on who you know and where you sit, no matter how inclusive your organization says it is or tries to be? Do you struggle to get information and connect to other teams or functions, whether they are across the hall or across the globe? One organization found that bringing together the social media technologies that are so good at keeping us connected with the cultural mindsets and inclusive behaviors that ensure we have effective interactions was the key to higher operational performance across their large and dispersed global ecosystem. In this interactive presentation, we will share a powerful case study for creating a global virtual technical network that combined a knowledge management platform along with explicit inclusion mindsets and behaviors to make problems visible and solve technical problems more rapidly across a complex, recently merged enterprise.
