Who’s Your Go-To? Diversifying Your Network to Make You a Stronger Leader

60-minute Stretch Workshops

Day 2

Session Code: S1-D
When: April 11, 2018
Location/Room: 200 AB
Level: Intermediate
Track: Leadership Development
Presenter: Roger Crockett, inQUEST Consulting, LLC

Description

As leaders, you’re forced to make critical decisions every day. But are they the best decisions? And what resources are you using to help inform your decision-making? Your networks have the tremendous potential to heighten understanding, expand your awareness, and help you solve complex problems.

In this interactive, guided session, participants will learn to evaluate the diversity of their networks, and discover ways to make them more powerful. By listing the trends and patterns within their networks and pinpointing perspectives that are missing, leaders will be able to craft a plan that helps enhance their networks to inform better decision-making and inspire innovative thinking in the work environment.

To drive this process, leaders will receive a variety of tools including the Diversity Network Quotient Scorecard which can be used during and post-conference to measure progress and support their action plan.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Participants will identify the people they turn to for input, strategic advice, and delivery of critical projects.
  • Participants will evaluate their networks to determine their individual DNQ™ (Diversity Network Quotient) score.
  • Participants will learn the value of diversifying their go-to networks.
  • Participants will create an action plan for maintaining or diversifying their go-to networks.
