Eighty-nine percent of companies (according to the DMBA Inclusive Leadership Index [ILI]) have implemented diverse slates as a method to ensure women and people of color are provided access to management and leadership opportunities. While it is a best practice to have a process, the leading practice is to have metrics aligned to accountability across the enterprise to ensure you achieve the outcome identified. It is not enough to present diverse slates and have results that do not change the outcome.
