Description

We’ve all heard that diversity is being invited to the party, and inclusion is being asked to dance. During this session we’ll ask, “What is the music that we have to dance to?” Corporate America knows it needs to bring in more diversity and be more inclusive. So, they are inviting more diversity to the party and asking them to dance by giving them jobs and opportunities. What’s still not changing is how we reward, promote, retain, and develop that new diversity. We bring in new diversity and ask them to dance to the same music that rewards the old behaviors and the past definition of what we call “good.”

This session will be an interactive discussion to determine the music in your company that you need to change to make your company truly more inclusive. Is it your staffing process, development, promotions, or mentoring? True change can only occur when we realize that we haven’t been changing the definition of “good” in our company and can actually acknowledge what “good” looks like.

Learning Outcomes
  1. Understand what processes or policies you need to change so the music in your company changes
  2. Revisit and analyze your present brand, candidate experience, and talent acquisition process
  3. Learn new ways to get buy-in at the top to change the definition of “good” in your company
