Track: Innovation & Transformation
Presenter: Mark Atkinson, Mursion

Description

In an era where technology has transformed nearly every other facet of the employee experience, employers often struggle to implement diversity training programs that work. To better combat bias among their leadership ranks, companies have been exploring VR-enabled mind-set training to simulate stressful workplace events and practice the appropriate responses—so they can better manage triggers and the impacts of unconscious bias.

This session will go behind the scenes of VR simulations that companies like T-Mobile and LinkedIn are using to boost outcomes of diversity training efforts.

Learning Outcomes
  • Learn why VR simulations are effective tools for role playing difficult workplace scenarios
  • Preview the VR simulation to understand why it’s so effective for unraveling unconscious bias
  • Hear how leading companies use VR training to improve long-term goals for diversity and unconscious bias
