Description

During this session, participants will gain a better understanding of the impact of historical and inter-generational trauma and racially evoked PTSD. In this experience-based session, attendees will be given the opportunity to talk about their different experiences, voice challenges, and learn skills and strategies for change. The challenging task will be to lean into the unknown areas of discussion (discomfort) and content, that are often avoided, to cultivate transformation and growth.

  • Understand the impact of racialized trauma in historically marginalized communities
  • Articulate your cultural lens, beliefs and biases, and their influence on intercultural relations
  • Gain tools for identifying approaches to communicating effectively across cultural differences
