Description
Many organizations recognize the need to move beyond initial DEI efforts, like training, into a multi-year DEI strategic plan, covering everything from policies and procedures to recruitment and retention to supplier diversity. But what is the best way to create this strategic plan to ensure buy-in at every level? How can we get both formal and informal leaders working toward a common DEI vision?
In this seminar, facilitators lead participants in community engagement exercises that can be used to build community and trust, create agreement on a DEI vision, and prioritize strategies and goals. The session is designed to teach content through doing. Participants will experience each exercise first and have an opportunity to debrief. Facilitators will guide participants through exercises focused on self-reflection and storytelling, visioning, brainstorming, and prioritizing—explaining how each exercise fills a unique role within the strategic planning process.
