21st Century D&I Leadership Coaching: Transforming Hearts and Minds

75-minute Workshops

Day 4

Session Code: S6-D
When: March 11, 2021
Level: Intermediate
Track: Diversity Leadership
Presenters: Jane Hyun, Hyun & Associates Leadership Strategy  |  Graciela Meibar, Graciela Meibar Consulting

Description

The process intrinsic to the coach/coachee relationship is a dynamic tool for creating a safe and individualized approach to leader development around diversity and inclusion for your organization. In this session, we will share two or three different types of coaching situations where we have introduced the topic of inclusion, engaged difficult conversations about racism, and/or pushed the boundaries of leaders’ mindsets to discover or try something new.

Together, the presenters have each designed and led effective corporate diversity initiatives, facilitated coaching programs to advance organizational change, and provided hands-on problem-solving support to CEOs and middle management. We are eager to share perspectives from our practical experience, and to discuss a variety of ways to skillfully address mindset and behavioral shifts in a range of corporate sectors/industries, as well as in nonprofits and schools.

Learning Outcomes

• Learn how effective individual coaching equips leaders to manage challenging components of D&I
• Gain 2-3 techniques to create more consequential conversations around DEI
• Add coaching to your toolkit as a potential solution for your “internal clients” or leadership
