Presenters: Nadia Linoo, Youthprise | Neese Parker, Youthprise | Aimee Vue, Youthprise
Description
How do you thoughtfully and intentionally involve youth in your board? Your programming? Your work? Over the course of the last decade, Youthprise has built systems and practices that center the voices of Indigenous, low-income, and racially diverse young people in Minnesota and beyond.
In this session, we will cover topics on how to successfully incorporate young people on your board of directors, how young people can intentionally grant out more than $750,000-plus in their own communities, and how youth participatory research action centers youth in creating systematic changes in their lives.
We are dedicated to promoting the learning, leadership, and social-emotional development of youth and seek to shift how programs engage youth in leadership and governance.
