Description

The global trends of inequality and climate change, as outlined by the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals, have become of increasing importance to businesses of all sizes. Therefore, aligning diversity and inclusion and corporate responsibility strategies in efforts to form a cohesive social sustainability approach becomes a recipe for success among progressive, forward-thinking companies. By cultivating a cohesive social sustainability strategy with a consistent stream of information to internal and external audiences, overall company reputation and perception is strengthened.

Participants will review ways to evaluate external partners and consider what structures and systems are needed to aide in maintaining critical relationships, while also ensuring continued alignment with business leaders and decision makers. Participants will hear lessons learned from our journey and leave with methods to construct their own D&I-influenced social sustainability foundation.

Learning Outcomes

• State the benefits of integrating your D&I efforts into your social sustainability strategy
• Determine your internal stakeholders for advocacy and external partners for community connection
• Outline the important items needed to construct an integrated D&I and social sustainability strategy
