75-minute Workshops

Day 2

Session Code: S3-D
When: March 9, 2021
Level: Intermediate
Track: Diversity Leadership
Presenter: Dr. Bernardo Ferdman, Ferdman Consulting

Description

Inclusive leadership — a key element in truly bringing inclusion to life — is a core foundation for workplaces that prioritize diversity and equity. What is inclusive leadership? How can it be developed in ways that make it sustainable and support DEI across the organization? How can leaders leverage their roles to bring inclusion to life, modeling and fostering it for others?

This session addresses the pivotal role of inclusive leadership as a fulcrum or force multiplier that fosters and magnifies inclusion at micro and macro levels and connects these levels. We will focus on the behaviors and mindsets of inclusive leadership, on its key role in the success of groups and organizations, and on ways to develop inclusive leadership practices across the organization. The session will provide key insights in the context of a framework and guidelines for manifesting inclusive leadership in ways that honor multiple identities, transform our organizations, and advance our communities.
