Description

With a renewed focus on race and social equity, managers and leaders are feeling the pressure to have conversations about race with their teams and organizations. Yet, few leaders are prepared for these conversations.

This workshop will explore what do to before, during and after a conversation about race so that the conversation respects the dignity of everyone involved and so that these difficult conversations are handled in a respectful manner.

Learning Outcomes

• Assess when it is appropriate (or not) to have a conversation about race
• Understand what preparation is needed ahead of time to help support candor and dialogue
• Provide insight into how to enter and exit the conversation respectfully
