Can Inclusion Be Measured and What Can You Do with It?

90-minute Workshops

Day 1

Session Code: S2-C
When: April 5, 2022
Level: Intermediate
Track: DEI Strategy
Presenter: Raafi-Karim Alidina, Included

Description

To get a baseline measure of diversity and inclusion, you need to understand not just the makeup of your organization but also how different groups are experiencing working there. It is essential that organizations do both, and consequently identify key behaviors and modes of intervention that will achieve the greatest impact on D&I.

Attendees will learn how bespoke employee surveys can measure a variety of demographic characteristics as well as the experiences and perceptions of employees regarding behaviors that affect inclusion and exclusion. These involve microaggressions, psychological safety, objectivity in decision-making, as well as measuring perceptions of team effectiveness, job satisfaction, employee engagement, and likelihood of retention.

Learning Outcomes

• Understand the importance of measuring demographics as well as inclusion in the workplace
• Learn what an inclusion diagnostic is and how it can benefit your organization
• Deep dive into real-life examples of organizations using inclusion diagnostics around the globe
