Description

Divisiveness has inched upward for decades on nearly every topic imaginable. Politics, race, gender, abilities … the list of issues is endless. The proliferation of social media has only exacerbated civil discourse, but throw in a global pandemic and suddenly the whole world seems to be on a reckless ride down Willy Wonka’s chocolate river.

As companies of all sizes work to ensure they provide an operating environment and culture that embraces diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB), one of the biggest challenges for workplace managers is mitigating divisions that develop among employees.

The key to prevent divisive issues from impeding productivity is learning how to listen to understand. Learn what it means to listen to understand and how it can become a practical part of company culture. You’ll learn from actual case studies of organizations that turned potentially damaging situations into productive ones through the implementation of effective listening skills.

Learning Outcomes

• Gain knowledge of when, why, and how to employ effective listening
• Learn proven techniques to share with teammates for effective listening skills in the workplace
• Receive strategies for incorporating listening skills into management training programs
