Description

Advancing your workplace’s diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) commitments without naming your final destination is a recipe for getting lost at sea. This experiential workshop supports inclusive leaders like you to build belonging at work by first charting a course for workplace culture transformation. This session helps you to clarify how much the traits of white supremacy culture are rocking your boat and provides possible routes for navigating to your desired destination.

This interactive workshop assists you to imagine a belonging culture by: 1) naming the invisible forces of white supremacy that implicitly influence your culture; 2) offering an inclusive alternative for your culture by identifying belonging traits and behaviors; and 3) aligning these behaviors into your organizational core competencies, leadership development, selection, performance management, and climate surveys. Each part will challenge you to steer your organization toward greater equity.

Learning Outcomes

• Name the invisible forces of white supremacy culture influencing your organization
• Examine an inclusive alternative of belonging traits and behaviors
• Apply these belonging traits as an antidote to white supremacy culture traits
