Description

The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted our lives in so many ways—physically, emotionally, and mentally. Isolation reports from employees skyrocketed and mental health worsened as a result. The members of the Mayo Clinic employee resource group Greater Leadership Opportunities for Women (GLOW) knew they needed to create innovative ways to stay relevant and in service to employees during the pandemic. As a result, they created and offered virtual leadership development opportunities and virtual monthly coffee meetups, and created a brand-new medium for growth and self-care: a podcast!

This session will guide you through the creation, implementation, and evaluation processes we took to create an environment of innovation and engagement in a COVID-19 world and beyond.

Learning Outcomes

• Explore how to leverage employee resource groups to make an impact on organization health
• Empower high-performance teams to create innovative solutions
• Increase team cohesion and personal investment—even in the virtual environment
