Presenter: Samí Haiman-Marrero, URBANDER

Description

What does equity look like? This is the question you must answer to lay the foundation for a comprehensive diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) program. No longer is it acceptable to make public proclamations of diversity, equity, and inclusion without walking the talk. With social change in recent years, there is a higher level of accountability to ensure that organizations and professionals not only understand the complexities of the new multicultural landscape but also are able to implement sound strategies to authentically engage their team, suppliers, business partners, and community while delivering equity in the process.

It is imperative to understand what the outcome of establishing equitable practices looks like at every level of the organization’s business endeavors to successfully mitigate disparities, reach parity, and cultivate a workforce, workplace, and marketplace where diverse leaders are provided equitable pathways to exercise their leadership.
