The Digital GDEIB: Expanding DEI Assessment and Strategy in Our Digital World

Thinking through and developing a strategic approach to diversity, equity, and inclusion can be a daunting task for any organization. Where to start? What to think about? Who to involve? What to prioritize? All are questions representing the cornucopia of concerns often deliberated by those who are charged with leading these efforts within organizations.

The Centre for Global Inclusion (The Centre) developed the 2021 Global Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Benchmarks (GDEIB), a guidebook and supporting suite of tools to help organizations establish criteria, measure, and monitor progress toward organizational DEI goals and best practices.

Focused now on creating enhanced global accessibility of this groundbreaking tool, The Centre in partnership with the American Institutes for Research® (AIR) have been working to develop a digitized version of the GDEIB for the field. The Centre and AIR have combined their collective forces to fuel capacity for change.

Learning Outcomes:

• Understand the process for the digitized version of the GDEIB and its applicability to support DEI strategic planning and implementation
• Experience, in real time, a prototype of the digitized GDEIB and provide feedback, which will be used to inform additional development
• Explore the enhancements that a digitized GDEIB will offer the world
