Presenter: Teresa Rothausen, University of St. Thomas
This presentation generates discussion about the need to explicitly address the fragility of the privileged as a significant barrier to our vision of a more inclusive society and to more inclusion within organizations. Four elements are briefly reviewed: the emergence of concepts such as white fragility and white debt, considering economic resources in our diversity and inclusion work, research suggesting different development needs for privileged and oppressed social identities, and human development models as critical to inclusion.
