2022 Conference Session: A Trio of Higher Education Initiatives: Cultural Competence, Inclusive Leadership, and Anti-Racism (S5-G)

Angela Pace-Moody is the inaugural director of Global Diversity and Inclusion at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Angela is primarily responsible for leading Chicago Booth D&I efforts focused on alumni and students on the Chicago, London, and Hong Kong campuses. She also works in conjunction with colleagues to unify diversity and inclusion efforts for the entire school, which includes faculty and staff D&I initiatives.

Prior to joining Chicago Booth, Angela was the first center director of the Bucksbaum Institute for Clinical Excellence at the University of Chicago. She was responsible for the financial, programmatic, and administrative leadership of the $42M institute and its 30 local, national, and international programs serving more than 500 faculty and student scholars. Angela has 25 years of management experience in the corporate, nonprofit, government, philanthropy, and academic sectors. Her management expertise includes projects in healthcare, community development, and urban planning throughout the United States and West Africa.

Angela earned her BA from the University of Chicago in an inter-disciplinary social science program: Law, Letters and Society; she earned her MS in urban planning from the Graduate School of Architecture at Columbia University in New York City; and she has taken several leadership development courses at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Through her board work, Angela has provided strategic leadership to more than 10 nonprofit organizations during the past 20 years.
