Ann Macheledt has worked in rehabilitation and the disability arena for the past 25 years. She currently is a Staff Training and Development specialist for State of Minnesota’s Vocational Rehabilitation Services division. Prior to that, she had been an associate director leading UnitedHealth Group’s Total Absence Management Accommodation and Return to Work Program. Ann also worked in the nonprofit sector for more than 15 years as consultant and program manager for Staying On the Job, and oversaw the retention and evaluation programs at RESOURCE Inc.

In her time, Ann has consulted with more than 550 companies and agencies to help meet their ADA/ADAAA compliance, training, and retention needs. She has conducted over 250 trainings for both employees and employers on ADA/ADAAA issues, suggesting practical approaches and accommodations to keep employees with disabilities on the job.

Ann is an active board member and the current treasurer on the board of Disability:IN Minnesota. Disability:IN Minnesota is an employer-led 501(c)(3) organization, whose mission is to promote best practices that enhance employment and career opportunities for skilled individuals who have a disability. Ann has had a long history contributing to the organization’s many initiatives, activities, and events.

Ann has a master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling psychology from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire. She is a national Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC).
