Chris Campbell joined the Carpenters Union as a member in 1989. He has since worked on several major construction projects including condominiums, airports, hospitals, power plants, refineries, office towers, institutions, and bridges. He has been a construction site supervisor and carpentry apprenticeship instructor.

Currently, Chris is one of the Carpenters’ District Council of Ontario (CDC) Business Representatives in Toronto. The Carpenters’ District Council of Ontario has more than 24,000 members across Ontario with 15,000 of the membership in the Greater Toronto Area. Chris’s assignment involves resolving labour-related issues between management and workers on the job site or at the Ontario Labour Relations Board; organizing non-union companies; and negotiating collective agreements.

He has been engaged with the Toronto Community Benefits Network (TCBN) since its inception in Toronto. The first major project of the TCBN was the Eglinton Light Rail Transit (LRT) line. Chris actively played a major role recruiting youth to gain construction trade employment opportunities through the Carpenters Union.
