Dr. Christine Mollenkopf-Pigsley is an associate professor and program director in Applied Leadership at Minnesota State University, Mankato, a fully online Bachelor of Science degree that focuses on leadership in changing environments and remote teamwork in business, nonprofit, and public sector organizations. Her research focus is on organizational change, social entrepreneurship, and innovation. She works extensively with nonprofits and community colleges nationally on entrepreneurship initiatives focused on increasing opportunity for BIPOC in STEM and agriculture and serves as an academic fellow for the Direct Selling Education Foundation in Washington, D.C.
Christine has served in a variety of academic leadership roles including Dean of Student Affairs and General Education, Associate Dean of Business and Entrepreneurship, and was a faculty member in Entrepreneurship and Individual Studies at Dakota County Technical College. In addition to higher education work, she has held substantive roles in economic development organizations including the Institute for Social and Economic Development, the Iowa Women’s Enterprise Center, the Metropolitan Consortium for Community Developers, the Small Business Development Center, and Women Venture.
Christine holds a BA degree in international relations from Michigan State University, a master’s degree in public and nonprofit administration from Metropolitan State University, an MBA from Minnesota State University, Mankato, and a PhD in public policy and public administration from Walden University.
