Dr. Tamika Lasege

Dr. Tamika Lasege attended medical school at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in her home state of New Jersey after earning her BS in biology from Yale University. She completed pediatric residency and neonatal fellowship at the University of Louisville, then practiced at busy Level III NICUs in Texas for five years. Afterwards, Tamika began her non-clinical career as a medical director for managed care organizations focusing on utilization management for Medicaid members. Additionally, she earned a Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) to further support her endeavors to help medical providers improve value by lowering medical costs while increasing quality of care.

At Children’s Minnesota, Dr. Lasege serves as the medical director of the Children’s Health Network (CHN), a pediatric clinically integrated network focusing on value-based care, while continuing to practice clinically in the NICU as a pediatrician and neonatologist. Her clinical interests include Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome, care coordination, preventative care, health equity, and social determinants of health.

Tamika spends her free time with her husband and two children. Together they enjoy music, movies, traveling, and spending quality time with friends and family.
