Emily Rasmussen is a project assistant for the Research Planning & Strategy Unit in the department of Research at Mayo Clinic. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in professional communication–public relations and is currently pursuing her Master of Arts degree in communication management at the University of Denver. She has more than 10 years of business management, communications, and project management experience, and she is a co-lead and host for the (G)LOWdown podcast and a member of the GLOW Communication committee.

Other volunteer activities include serving as a wish granter for the Make-A-Wish foundation. Outside of work, Emily fulfills her passion for adventure and new experiences through outdoor activities like hiking and kayaking; travel; reading; and (her greatest adventure) being a mother to her toddler-age son.
