Emma Corrie is the director of Strategic Workforce Initiatives in the Office of Governor Mark Dayton. She is responsible for developing a statewide career pathways program that provides better access to state government careers with a focus on traditionally underserved populations. Emma is focusing on building partnerships with job-training providers, community-based organizations, academic institutions, unions, state agencies, private industry, potential funders and philanthropic partners, with emphasis on creating sustainable career-oriented jobs in state government and the private sector.
Emma has more than 20 years of experience in human resources and workforce development. She has worked for state government since 1997 and built her career at the Department of Natural Resources and the Department of Transportation. Emma has a master’s degree in business and has been certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) since 2009.
