Felecia Boone, born and raised in Minneapolis, Minn., is a senior Diversity, Equity and Inclusion consultant with Hennepin County. She was educated through the Lutheran school system and volunteers as a lay leader with organizations in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
She has worked in local government at the state and county levels for more than 25 years, first in direct service with residents, then transitioning to staff leadership development. She administers two mentoring programs in Hennepin County, one for individual contributors and the other for BIPOC supervisors and managers.
Felecia is pursuing a Master of Arts in leadership at Wartburg College. Outside of work and school, she enjoys international travel and spending time with family.
