2022 Conference Session: You’re Not Alone: Peer Equity and Inclusion Coaches in the Workplace (S6-F)

Gina Kundan is a seasoned DEI professional with a strong passion for true equity. As deputy director, D&I manager, for Minnesota Department of Transportation, she remains committed to integrating a culture of inclusion into best practices. She also understands the importance of an engaged citizenry and a diverse workforce in support of successful outcomes.

Gina earned a master’s degree in public affairs from the University of Minnesota’s Humphrey School focusing on culturally competent leadership and management. While in that program, she co-authored a capstone project, “Little Earth of United Tribes: Towards Facilitating a Thriving Community.” Additionally, she earned a master’s degree in liberal studies from Hamline University, focusing on social theory, where she authored a capstone project, “Confronting the Race Myth: Origins of and Reflections on an American Obsession.”

She has designed and facilitated seminars and staff development workshops for multicultural inclusion, cultural competency, affirmative action, harassment, leadership development, conflict resolution, and recruitment and retention for underserved populations.
