Heidi Borgwardt

Heidi Borgwardt, MA, CPHQ, is a senior health systems engineer in the department of Management Engineering and Internal Consulting, and the vice chair of the Greater Leadership Opportunities for Women (GLOW) employee resource group (ERG) at Mayo Clinic. She has more than 13 years of experience working in a variety of health care delivery settings including physician office (primary and specialty care), hospital, pharmacy, long term care, assisted living, home care, hospice and palliative care.

Heidi is a Prosci-certified change management practitioner and has been responsible for leading, mentoring and facilitating multi-disciplinary process improvement teams; researching and developing evidence-based materials on best practices for improvement toolkits, website blogs and webinars; facilitating skills labs on service behaviors; forming and delivering education and training on continuous systems improvement/Lean methodologies and Microsoft Office; designing organization-wide databases; and leading organization-wide software system implementations.

Heidi holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in management and information technology and a Master of Arts in servant leadership, both from Viterbo University in La Crosse, Wisconsin. She is currently pursuing a Master of Healthcare Administration from the Pennsylvania State University.
