Jacquelyn Carpenter

Director, Business Development & Empowerment Institute

Company: Twin Cities R!SE
Role: Session Presenter

Prior to joining Twin Cities R!SE in 2017 as Business Development director, Jacquelyn Carpenter worked nearly 20 years with a global leader in contingent workforce staffing. Her numerous roles have always focused on employment support and career development within a service leadership model. Her expertise is working directly with employers to provide workforce strategies, business operations, recruiting excellence, client services and sales development. Twin Cities R!SE (TCR) is a local nonprofit organization that is a training program inclusive to “Building Careers and Empowering Lives.” As a part of her current role, Jacquelyn oversees the TCR Empowerment Institute, offering their signature Emotional Intelligence training throughout the county.

Jacquelyn is passionate about serving others with a bridge to careers for higher employment opportunities. She has previously served and partnered with several Minnesota workforce boards and community partners throughout her career, and has served with the Minnesota Staffing and Recruiting Association as a board member. Jacquelyn focuses on employer and employee connections, offering talent and insight into finding creative career support for all non-traditional candidates in our communities.

The Twin Cities R!SE organization spent the past year and a half building out a resource to continue to support employers with new hiring resources, specifically for people who have criminal histories or past criminal records. Jacquelyn will share the details of that resource, the Minnesota Employers’ Fair Chance Hiring Guide, during the session “Justice Impacted—Workforce for Today” at The Forum 2020 Conference.
