Laura Sherbin, Managing Director, Culture@Work, is an economist who specializes in the creation of advantage through inclusion and diversity. Most recently, Laura was co-president at the Center for Talent Innovation (CTI) in New York City, a premier think tank and content provider that studies global workplace diversity. She taught “Women and Globalization” at the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University, and is a coauthor of Harvard Business Review articles “How Diversity Can Drive Innovation,” “How Gen Y and Boomers Will Reshape Your Agenda,” “Off-Ramps and On-Ramps Revisited,” as well as the Harvard Business Review Research Reports The Athena Factor: Reversing the Brain Drain in Science, Engineering, and Technology and The Sponsor Effect: Breaking Through the Last Glass Ceiling and CTI reports including Executive Presence, as well as Disrupt Bias, Drive Value, among many others. She earned her PhD in economics from American University.

Laura built the rigorous data analytics machine and team that have been core to innovative approaches to measuring and tracking employee experiences. She is known as a leading expert in applying diversity and inclusion data to human behavior in organizations, and using such data to quantify how workforce sentiments and satisfaction affect company bottom lines. She has spoken at numerous corporations and at conferences including Gartner, Watermark Conference for Women, Global Business Forum at Baylor University, Association of Latino Professionals for America, among others. Laura has been quoted in the New York Times, Entrepreneur, Washington Post, Variety, and Fortune, most recently in articles about sexual harassment, sex bias, and why women leave the tech industry. She is also a frequent contributor to the Harvard Business Review.
