Leigh Morrison is a Learning and Innovation manager at The Winters Group, Inc. In this role, she is responsible for supporting the development and research for The Winters Group learning experiences and resources. Leigh is passionate about the potential for education in its many forms to advance equity. Specific interests include increasing accessibility of education for BIPOC students; promoting culturally relevant learning as a tool for individual and community empowerment; and leveraging strong educational practices to design equity and justice-related education that is accessible, impactful, and enduring.
Prior to this role, Leigh served as a program coordinator at Grand Rapids Community College, a program evaluation intern at 826michigan, a workshop designer and facilitator at University of Michigan’s Program on Intergroup Relations, and an intern with the Harvard Kennedy School’s Women and Public Policy Program.
A graduate of Wellesley College, Leigh holds an undergraduate degree in gender studies, with a concentration of intersectionality of race, class, gender, and sexuality. She earned her Master of Arts in educational studies from the University of Michigan School of Education. Leigh is a certified administrator for the Intercultural Development Inventory® (IDI®).
