McKenzie Messerly

McKenzie Messerly is a nurse educator at the Regions Hospital Birth Center in St. Paul, Minn. She has eight years of experience partnering with neonates and their families to provide family centered care. She specializes in neonatal nursing and has held various positions in level II, III, and IV NICUs. She has a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Westminster College and is a certified nurse in neonatal intensive care nursing.

As a nurse leader, McKenzie was an active member of the New Birth Center Design Team participating in Region’s year-long equity education experience. She continues to grow the birth center’s foundation in health equity and its effect on healthcare policy, procedure and education.

Outside of work, she enjoys exploring the outdoors with her two young sons and husband.
