R. Adidi Etim-Hunting is the director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for Penn State’s Division of Development and Alumni Relations (DDAR) where she is charged with developing policies, programs, and division-wide initiatives. As director, she carries out the DDAR strategic plan and advances its four-part framework of priorities, the recruitment and retention strategies for a diverse workforce, and initiatives to promote a welcoming and inclusive Penn State community.

Adidi is responsible for coordinating with internal constituencies, University leadership, and external stakeholders to determine how the division — throughout all its initiatives, activities, and programs — can be reimagined to build a culture of inclusivity that affirms the dignity and contributions of all its members and the alumni, donors, and friends that it serves. She has presented at national and international conferences, as well as professional development workshops that have a diversity, equity, inclusion, and engagement focus.

She has more than a decade of experience in higher education administration, student affairs, and academic affairs. Adidi is a Californian and Michigander who deeply values her Nigerian American background and earned her bachelor’s degree from Grand Valley State University in photography, a master’s degree in counseling, adult and higher education at Northern Illinois University, and is a doctoral student in Penn State’s Workforce Education and Development program, with a concentration in diversity, inclusion, access, and equity.
