Webinar: When Emotions, Conflict and Bias Collide in Patient Care

Tahitia is passionate about creating dialog around diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) framed in the context of authenticity, health, and content creation. She grew up in an interfaith household that was Jewish and Christian and identifies as a Black, Queer, Cisgendered woman with autism that uses she/her pronouns. She has close to 20 years’ experience working with healthcare focused organizations developing inclusive content, guides, and curriculums. She holds an MSN from Drexel University College of Nursing & Health Professions with a focus in Nursing Education and Technology and is a Certified Diversity Professional (CDP)® from the Institute for Diversity Certification. She has presented nationally on DEI and healthcare topics, along with writing articles for nursing and non-nursing publications.

She is the owner and lead of a passion project focused on health equity called Conscious By Us. Conscious By Us provides a variety of thought leadership activities on diversity, inclusion, equity, and justice with a goal of addressing healthcare disparities and creating equitable healthcare structures.

In her spare time, she enjoys volunteering with the Health Equity Philadelphia chapter of the Association for the Study of African American Life and History (ASALH®), Society for Diversity and the William Way LGBT Community Center. She lives in New Jersey with her partner, teenager, two dogs and a cat that thinks she’s a dog.
