Tamara Thorpe (she/her), principal consultant with LCW, is a recognized thought leader in next generation leadership with more than 20 years of experience in global leadership and organizational development. She has helped inspiring nonprofit organizations, renowned universities, and complex government organizations to build healthy organizations that challenge the status quo and make a difference.

In her work as a facilitator and coach, she helps leaders and teams learn how to leverage diversity and differences to foster belonging in the workplace. Tamara’s approach to diversity and inclusion is grounded in her own experiences as woman of color and her years of education and experience in the U.S. and abroad.

Known for her ability to move a crowd, Tamara is also a dynamic speaker and passionate activist who has used her voice to advocate for racial justice and gender equality to create thriving communities and a fair and just society. She is equally passionate about mentoring, breaking down the barriers between generations, and challenging age bias.

Tamara was born and raised in Los Angeles, and today she calls Albuquerque, New Mexico, home. She earned a Master of Arts in leadership and training from Royal Roads University in Victoria, British Columbia, and a Bachelor of Arts in linguistics from the University of California, San Diego. She is also a qualified administrator of the Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI©), an instrument that measures intercultural sensitivity.
