It’s no secret that artificial intelligence and automation technologies are expected to have a disruptive impact on the global workforce within the coming years, in some instances, replacing workers altogether. Many industries are, in fact, already feeling the effects of what’s being called the “Fourth Industrial Revolution.” With demographic changes and technological advances unfolding in an increasingly globalized world, there is no limit to potential conflicts in the workplace. With such dramatic changes generating high levels of anxiety, it might seem counterintuitive to stress the importance of religion in the workplaces of the future. The arrival of such technological advances, however, is expected to coincide with the growth of religiosity worldwide. An increasingly religious world, however, need not be viewed in contrast with a more technologically advanced world. Tanenbaum is recognized as the leader in assisting with the creation of unique company policies for proactively addressing religion in the workplace. Tanenbaum will draw upon that experience to make the case for utilizing religious literacy to address the workplace challenges of not only the near future, but also the present.
