Description

The rising popularity of Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) to help retain talent, increase engagement and promote diversity and inclusion within an organization has uncovered new challenges around managing these groups, sharing best practices and understanding the impact ERGs have on an organization.

We will facilitate a discussion about common management challenges of ERG leaders and administrators, highlighting the importance of alignment of ERGs with business goals to leverage impact. This will be followed by an interactive workshop in which leaders set SMART (measureable) ERG goals and initiatives together in small groups. Participants will have the opportunity to share best practices and success stories of how their ERGs have impacted business results.

Southern Company Gas will co-present and share a case study about their ERG SMART goal setting and how they have implemented ERG Insight™ technology to provide a platform for global access for all ERG leaders, managers, and executive sponsors. Tommi Paris, Manager, Diversity and Inclusion at Southern Company Gas Co. will share her experience of how they have streamlined a once inconsistent process by moving to the ERG Insight™ technology platform to manage their groups and how it has impacted their effectiveness and productivity by giving them a consistent process and ability to grow in an efficient way. They will share best practices on how they are using metrics and reporting tools to showcase how the ERGs are impacting business results.
