Bias is a leading cause of disparities in health care and health outcomes, including disparities in late life and end-of-life care. In this session, Allina Health will: 1. share its “Health Equity & Action” (HEAL) strategy and framework to build the organization’s capabilities and capacity to identify, understand, prioritize and take action on prioritized clinical disparities; 2. provide an overview of a HEAL project aimed at addressing disparities in referral to hospice amongst African American patients; and 3. highlight a key component of the project, “Implicit Bias Training for Providers.”
