Ann Feaman is the Director of the Office for Diversity and Equal Opportunity at the Department of Employment & Economic Development (“DEED”) and is the Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act (WIOA) State Equal Opportunity Officer. She oversees the agency’s compliance with equal opportunity laws both in employment and service delivery. Prior to DEED, Ms. Feaman served as the State Director for Equal Opportunity at Minnesota Management & Budget (“MMB”) from June of 2012 until September of 2015 and oversaw state government’s affirmative action program and the initial implementation of Executive Order 14-14, Increasing Individuals with Disabilities in State Government. She earned her Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from Hamline University School of Law in 2008. Ms Feaman also worked as the Chief Investigator and Equal Opportunity Consultant for the Department of Human Services, and is a veteran of the United States Air Force, having served ten years on active duty in the military from 1993-2003.
