Day 5
Session Code: TT-8BWhen: March 12, 2021
Level: Introductory
Track: DEI Strategy
Presenters: Samantha Artukovich, The Learning Accelerator | Tripti Thapa, Deans for Impact
Description
Trust is a key ingredient for promoting workplace diversity, equity, and inclusion across all aspects of organizational life. It helps build healthy and dynamic relationships among coworkers and creates conditions where colleagues collaborate effectively in teams. Strong trust facilitates an environment that encourages employees to be authentic and vulnerable. Without a strong foundation of cultivated trust, it can be difficult for coworkers and leaders to take on the work of DEI.
This session will cover our research on building trust in remote environments and connecting these processes to authentic experiences that help organizations grow their capacity for meaningful internal DEI work.
Learning Outcomes
• Participants will discover various elements of building trust in work culture
• Participants will hear about strategies other remote organizations use to cultivate trust
• Participants will connect trust-building to their internal DEI goals
