Are You a DEI Leader or Laggard? How Successful Companies Create Sustainable, Meaningful Change
90-minute Workshops
Day 2
Session Code: S4-BWhen: April 6, 2022
Level: Advanced
Track: DEI Strategy
Presenter: Dr. Mark Dwyer, Trusaic
Description
The COVID-19 pandemic and the #MeToo and Black Lives Matter social movements have spurred companies to reassess their relationships with their employees. Companies have committed to equitable treatment for all employees and to creating a safer, more welcoming, more representative, and more participatory workplace. Yet despite good intentions, many organizations have failed to make meaningful progress.
Mark Dwyer, vice president of Data Science at Trusaic, will present insights from Trusaic’s upcoming research study conducted with Harvard Business Review and the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM), which explores the extent to which DEI is a strategic priority in organizations, how companies are implementing DEI initiatives, and how successful they are (leaders) or are not (laggards) in creating a DEI-conducive culture. He’ll cover how these programs and practices influence an organization’s success and where critical gaps are still hindering lasting, meaningful change.
