Description

Feeling respected at work can increase one’s sense of inclusion and belonging. On the other hand, being disrespected can strongly impact satisfaction, engagement, productivity, and ultimately retention. But what does respect in the workplace actually look like? And if respect can look a little different for everyone, how do you avoid feelings of disrespect within your organization?

Through Aleria’s framework of the Nine Categories of Inclusion and their work measuring inclusion at organizations of all sizes and industries, they have been able to collect a wide range of data on what constitutes disrespect in the workplace. This session will share Aleria’s findings from this data including how issues of respect show up differently for people based on their demographics. This data provides unique insight into the everyday experiences that can have an outsized impact on one’s sense of inclusion at work.
