Dr. Amy Batiste has spent her entire career working as a creative catalyst, a calling she has pursued for the past 25 years as the founder and CEO of Creative Catalysts. A visionary, consultant, facilitator, educator, and visual storyteller, her masterful and design-infused work is centered on the human element of organizational transformation and efforts to build a future that is made for all of us. Known for her strategic insights and engaging approach, Amy has worked with leaders and teams in the arts and culture sector, business, local, state, and federal government, philanthropic and nonprofit organizations, and education, including K-12, higher education, and independent schools. She earned her doctorate in human and organizational development at Vanderbilt University and a master’s in public communication at The American University. When playing the “one thing you’d be surprised to know about me” game, Amy often wins with her answer – “I was once a country music disc jockey!” She and her husband Michael live in San Antonio, Texas, with their feisty rescue dog, Jojo.
