Dr. Nik Anderson is a faculty development specialist for Capella University in Minneapolis, Minn., where she earned an EdD in adult education and two post-master’s certificates in leadership and accountability and adult education leadership. She is passionate about increasing availability and access to professional development programming that explores the interdisciplinary nature of the work of faculty and student affairs professionals. Her research interests include improving training and development practices for post-secondary faculty and staff.

Nik also holds a master’s degree in education leadership from Winona State University in Winona, Minn., where her thesis research focused on the perceived effects of diversity, equity, and inclusion offices on the retention of BIPOC students on four-year college campuses. She is currently co-authoring an article about professional development as an instance of adult learning.
