Munzoor Shaikh

Munzoor Shaikh is a director in the Health and Life Sciences practice at West Monroe, with a primary focus on managed care, health insurance, population health, and wellness. He has more than 18 years of experience in management and technology consulting, which he applies to drive business transformation for West Monroe’s healthcare clients. Munzoor also leads the firm’s Inclusion and Diversity Council, which is comprised of leaders from all levels, practices and locations across the organization. In support of West Monroe’s strategic initiative to develop a more inclusive culture to welcome diversity, the I&D Council leads key initiatives throughout the year to provide employees opportunities to engage through their heads, hearts and hands.

Munzoor is a business transformation agent in healthcare, having successfully executed several large-scale technology-enabled business initiatives such as claims platform consolidation and migration, care management programs and initiatives, strategic product roadmaps, back-end health IT integration solutions and centralization of core healthcare IT services. Specifically, he focuses on helping health plans, integrated health networks, accountable care organizations and third-party administrators tailor their operational and population health processes to decrease cost and increase quality of outcomes. Additionally, he has led many operational and IT due-diligence engagements for private equity and investment firms to evaluate portfolio companies within the healthcare sector.

Leveraging his distinctive blend of business and technology knowledge and experience, Munzoor develops industry-focused solutions that use market data, advanced analytics, business and technical architecture, and process modeling to drive organizational transformation and growth. He has led small teams (two to four people) as well as large teams (60+ people) of business consultants and deep technologists to drive the strategic objectives of his clients. In particular, he enjoys combining his finance and strategy background with his technical experience in order to align technology solutions with the strategic needs of the business.

Munzoor earned a Master of Business Administration degree with concentrations in finance, strategy and behavioral science from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from the University of Illinois.
